I hope you all enjoyed your time at the church cookout last week!

Pastor encouraged us with a series of significant numbers concerning the remainder of 2018:

✓ Regeneration, Resurrection, New Beginnings
✓ We've reached the 8th month of the year

✓ Completion
✓ The first half of the year is complete; that doesn't mean your year is complete

✓ Grace
✓ We've just begun the last 5 months; there's more time left in the year





Whew!!

All that to say...

5.....4....3...2..1

📣 The year isn't over yet! 
📣  Don't check out yet!
📣  Make the last 5 count!
📣 We are approaching the final quarter, and that's when games are won!

If you weren't able to get it done over the last 7 months, begin now. Your year isn't over yet! Don't calculate how He's going to do it, and don't keep going over your timeline.

God is I N F I N I T E
 He's limitless, endless in space, extent, and size, and it's impossible to measure and/or calculate Him. "You just have to trust Him."


We were told to stop disqualifying ourselves from the process. "Who told you you wouldn't qualify if you applied? Who are they [and us] to value their [or our] words over God's?"

"Who's word are you living according to? Let God's Word be TRUE and all others be a LIE!

Value: 

The regard that something is held to deserve.

Worth, usefulness, advantage, benefit, gain, good merit, principles, standard of behavior, one's judgment of what's important in life, morals, ethics, codes, standards.

↠ Genesis 1:27: 

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

I am made in His image. 

Value.

↠ Jeremiah 29:11 

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

He's made plans for me. 

Value.

↠ Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

He laid down His life for me. 

Value.

↠ 1 Peter 1:18-19

knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

He paid a price for me. 

Value.

↠ 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

He renewed me. Value.

↠ Jeremiah 30:17 (Bonus: this scripture was mentioned without its value statement...it got that good)

For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her.” ’

He restored [health within] me. Value.

I AM VALUABLE!!

In order to receive what's for us, we have to understand we qualify for it. I am qualified and I am valuable.

God has to have the final word and because His Word is settled, we have to rest in it.

When you realize you're valuable: 

↪You walk and talk differently. 

↪ You carry yourself differently.

↪You won't allow people to talk to you any kind of way.

↪ You don't receive just anything.

↪You don't entertain everyone.

↪ You don't listen to the lie that says you're disposable.

↪ You are of value to God!

You deserve every good thing God has for you not because of what you've done, but because you're made in God's image.

Because you're valuable, your time is valuable. Your valuable time is His valuable time.

I am a steward of my time. How dare I spend God's time doing something He didn't call me to do? How do I use His breath and speak things He hasn't spoken.

As brothers and sisters who should see value in each other and the well-being of each other, we have to hold each other accountable, as mentioned in the last blog. In love, we ought to check one another, not to tell them how much they haven't valued themselves, but remind them of how valuable they are.

God and everything He has for you is more valuable than anything else. 

Point. 

Blank. 

Period.

This new series will be about valuing God and His Word and valuing ourselves.
