High five for making it over the hump

As a matter of fact, since we're working on magnifying our faith drops, let's celebrate a bit for making it mid-week...

That was fun, wasn't it?

Last Sunday we revisited our friends, #Faith and #NewThing. If you missed last week's blog, click here.

Our focus scripture was Isaiah 43:18-19. I'm going to put several versions/paraphrases of the scripture below in case one hits you more than the others or more simply, in case there's one that is more understandable to you than the others.

KJV
                               18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.                                      19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
NKJV
“Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
NIV
“Forget the former things;
    do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.
NLT
“But forget all that—
    it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
19 For I am about to do something new.
    See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
    I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
MSG
16-19 This is what God says,
    the God who builds a road right through the ocean,
    who carves a path through pounding waves,
The God who summons horses and chariots and armies—
    they lie down and then can’t get up;
    they’re snuffed out like so many candles:
“Forget about what’s happened;
    don’t keep going over old history.
Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.
    It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?
There it is! I’m making a road through the desert,
    rivers in the badlands.

There is purpose in your wilderness!
What if you are still in your wilderness because everyone who is supposed to be blessed by it hasn't been blessed yet? I believe one of the reasons we get testimonies is so that God can use us to help someone else see the other side just as we have. If you come out too early, who are you cutting out of your audience of people you're supposed to relate and be a blessing to?

Patiently endure. Expect to see Him while you're in it. Expect to come out victoriously!

Pastor Joe gave us a "WITTY" nugget: What If I Told You I'm (God) doing something you've never seen before?

Well, that's what the scripture is telling us: He's doing a #NewThing. Don't you see it? He's making ways and watering the dry places. What a message of encouragement and motivation to end the year with!

By the way, will I see you at WOPCC's New Year Service? It starts at 10pm at the WOP

Sunday's Word of Instruction: Keep your faith up in this season!
The only way the enemy can keep you from making heavenly transactions is the diminishing of your faith. Faith will fund your journey financially and otherwise.

A faith funded journey is like an all expense paid trip; it'll take you places you can't afford, and, might I add, comes with a free travel agent.

Faith requires using what God has given you. What are you sitting on that God can use to pay your way?

Take nothing for the journey except your faith. A faithless journey is like sitting at a frozen red light instead of pausing at a stop sign; you become stagnant while staring at the other traffic pass by in front of you instead of pausing to assess, let your brother/sister take their turn, and then you take yours.

This is the season to have your faith and hopes up.
